We went downtown to see the blossoming cherry trees around the tidal basin in Washington last night. The crowds were so large, we decided to have dinner on the steps of the Bureau of Printing and Engraving and watch the trees from a distance. The park service has said it might close off the tidal basin area to reduce the risk of spreading COVID if the crowds become too large, which seems very likely. While trying to avoid people on the way home, we took this image of the Washington Memorial on the National Mall. These trees were very different ten days earlier.
