Naomi and I are excited to announce our upcoming book Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, Emptiness: Tokyo Landscape. Taking inspiration from the five elements in Japanese Buddhism, Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, Emptiness is a homage to a city we called home for ten years. Starting from the simple question of what is the natural landscape of Tokyo, the book weaves a quiet narrative of this city through space and time.
80 photographs, 1 illustration, text in English and Japanese, 96 pages, 8.5”x11”.

Naomi and I want to thank all our visitors to our site for coming so regularly. This year seems to be shaping up to be an exciting one for us. We hope to announce a few publishing projects in the coming months as well as a few projects we would like to publish through our site.
For a little over a year, we have been posting five times a week. It has been fun, if not challenging. But because of our publishing projects and a desire to keep our posts as fresh and interesting as possible, we will be cutting back a bit to three posts a week.

The Kennebec Land Trust is celebrating their 25th anniversary with an exhibition at the Harlow Gallery in Hallowell, Maine. I was honored to have one of my images selected for the show. Many of the Kennebec Land Trust properties offer recreational trails for the public. My submission was taken at the Small-Burnham Conservation Area in Litchfield, Maine. One of my photographs is in the 12th Annual Festival of Art at the Senior College at Belfast. The show features work from professional and amateur artists in Maine. 2-D and 3-D artwork is spread throughout the college. The show runs from May 15th through May 18th.
